Just Begin...with the Grace Prayer

As part of an online community (Patti Digh's Project 137 - Love Well, Live Fully, Let Go Deeply and Make A Difference) assignment today, I have been challenged to begin something that I've wanted to do, that I have previously put off, talked myself out of or just didn't take the time to allow myself to dream up! This "Sharings For Highest Good" is the result of my inner search, as to what I would like to give to those I love, those in need whom I may not even know, in an effort to ease their "load"/whatever is causing them stress or making them feel alone or afraid or unworthy or lacking in any way.

As a multi-media artist and writer, I will include paintings, creations, photographs, poems, prayers and other ramblings -- with Hope, Faith, Friendship, Compassion, Joy, Love and Grace as the underlying flavors/theme/intention.

When I ask myself, what would be the most powerful sharing to start with, The Grace Prayer comes to mind. I recite this prayer at every and any turn where I need Guidance, to release my need to control, to bring myself back to a place of Ultimate Peace when I'm faced with anything and everything from daily stress to illness or financial challenges or any worries/challenges or "seeming problems." I believe that the original of this prayer may have been written by Unity minister James Dillet Freeman (please correct me if I'm wrong), but I have modified it a fair bit and will include the version I use here:

Grace Prayer

Into Thy Hands I commit
My spirit, my soul, my body, my life,
My hopes, my dreams, my love, my beloveds,
this seeming problem, all unforgiven states.

Thy will is my will.
Thy will be done through me.
Thank You for healing me at depth --
For revealing that which needs to be revealed
And healing that which needs to be healed
That I may continue to glorify You, God
And live in the fullness of Grace.

So be it.
And so it is.
Thank You, God.
I am grateful. I am grateful. I am grateful.
Amen, amen and amen.

***

May you be blessed.
In Love and Light,
Michele

P. S. I will post an image of my painting called "Re-Aligned With Grace" as soon as I figure out how to do this! xo
